When the sun shines rainbows dive in and out in the mist.
We didn't go beyond Glen Falls 2. Apparently, Gelen Falls 3 is not worht the climb back up!
Phew, it's a long way up to this small Falls in the Cliffside Recreation area.
Turtle Falls is about 500 yards beyond Rainbow Falls.
This series is just visible from US 64 between Highlands and Franklin. I guess some have made it down to the bottom of the gorge to get a better view, but not this old codger.
I was lucky enough to come across this angelic scene, no I won't explain the full background.
This my favourite, just over the border in South Carolina and right beside Stumphouse Tunnel.

We went down the mountain 1.5 miles to see High Falls but it is totally overgrown. Owl Falls was just a little down the road, jump over the crash barrier and cling to roots to get here.
On Rte 106 just outside Highlands, this is the first in a series of 3 falls.
This is Highlands biggest tourist attraction. You can walk behind the cascading water.
